36,000 square foot facility completes latest phase of renovation at its location at 2842 Old US 231, Lafayette.
The public is invited to celebrate the opening of the River City Community Center. The facility will house a café, four small conference rooms, a private counseling suite, two multi-purpose rooms, a community boardroom, an auditorium and banquet center capable of seating up to 600 people, a commercial kitchen, and an indoor play space connected to STEAM Academy, which is expanding to 18 classrooms. The center will promote community transformation through programming and outreach designed for families, mental and physical wellness, as well as community collaboration.
“We are thrilled with this gift of God for our community and pray it will be a blessing to all kinds of people in this fabulous city,” said Robby Bradford, Lead Pastor at River City Church.
Grand Opening Events
On Friday, May 31 at 1:30pm, the community center will host a ribbon-cutting celebration in partnership with Greater Lafayette Commerce.
On Saturday, June 1 from 11am-2pm, the community is invited to attend an Open House during which tours of the community center spaces and STEAM Academy will be offered, alongside food, games, and music in celebration of this occasion.
