The River City Community Center is excited to announce a new grief support program, River of Hope.   River of Hope is for all children (starting at age 4), teens, and adults who have experienced the death of a significant person anytime in their past.   In this program, participants will be split into peer groups, and will find healing through age-appropriate, fun and expressive activities designed to build resiliency and to help participants adjust to life without their person.  This program is free of charge and will meet twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Monday evenings, beginning in October.

We need men and women volunteers as group leaders and support volunteers to the groups.  Volunteer training for all will be held on Sept 16th, from 6p-9p at the community center.  If this sounds like something you would be interested in, or if you would like to learn more, please contact us at the Community Center.  We would even love to meet with you in person, if your schedule permits.
